Suddenly in my last week of maternity leave I found myself in a frenzy of finishing up!
Here is my week without the insert:
I love Pinterest and am forever pinning projects I would like to try. (See my boards here). One thing I have wanted to try for a little while is decorating a mug with Sharpies, so I had a go this week. Not a great success unfortunately. Once baked the ink appeared dry but scratched off really easily.
I also got my violin out this week for the first time in forever (which my Dad will be pleased about
). It will probably stay in the box for a while now but it was fun to play again.
My big achievement for the week was getting some undercoat on the walls in our new bathroom downstairs! The whole of the house downstairs needs to be painted but at least now the smallest room is on the way to be finished
One of the nicest things this week has been watching Flynnie play with Sawyer. He is starting to include him in his games, including racing him around the house in his tipper truck!
My insert this week is an 8×8 collage of some very photoshopped photos that I took at the Townsville Show on sunday. I am not a huge fan of the show but enjoyed playing with these photos to make it look much nicer than it really is!
This one is my favourite – it reminds me of an old book illustration or postcard.
Thanks for visiting, and please leave a comment. I would love to hear what you think. As usual I will be sharing this post over at The Mom Creative. Click over there for more Project Life blogs and heaps of inspiration.

Looks fantastic Sarah – what a pity about the sharpie mug – I have seen those as well and thought they would be cool to do. Love the Townsville show insert and that last photo is just awesome – love it!! You must be happy you are all up to date before you start back at work
. Really great pages xxx
Thanks Beth – yes really happy to be up to date. Very interested to see how I go once I am back at work… Thanks for the lovely comments! xx
Love your pages Sarah!!! It’s a pity about the sharpie mug – have seen them and thought they looked great. Your Townsville Show insert photos are great and that last one that is photoshopped etc is just awesome – could have come straight out of a old picture book!! Well done on getting up to date before you’re back to work
. Great pages xx
Hey Sarah,
Beautiful pages again. Love what you do. Your 8×8 insert is gorgeous. That’s a great idea. We’ve just been to the Redcliffe show. Might copy your idea if you don’t mind. It looks fabulous. We did something similar to this in the Jessica Sprague photoshop free class. It was awesome.
Thanks again for sharing your pages Sarah. Always so beautiful.
Thanks so much Kristine – definitely use the idea – would love to see what you come up with! xx
Sarah, your pages are amazing. I love what you did with the show photos, they look great. Very clever.
Thanks Meg – I had a lot of fun playing with them
Once again Sarah, I’m blown away! All of it – fantastic!

Thanks so much Melanie – must catch up some time soon! xx
I just love you week! Beautiful colours. And I LOVE, LOVE , LOVE the inserts with the photos from the show. You’re little babe is just gorgeous. I’m getting a kick out of seeing the PDC products filling up your layouts. Thank you xxx
Thanks Jodie – I’m LOVING using the PDC stuff and can’t wait to see the first kit. Excited is an understatement! xx
Love this week Sarah – you’ve got some ‘hot chicks’ in one of those photos
The Show photos are just great.
Thanks Sharon – the next few weeks will test my dedication that’s for sure…
The blog will keep you honest – that’s what gets mine done each week.

Hi Kylie, thanks for visiting – yes I was sad about the Sharpie thing – I had such plans for the technique! xx
I love the Project Life system. As soon as I use up all my other scrapbooking stuff I am going to re-start with this system.
